Reading a dimension table: a worked example

Three practical readings come out of a table like this. First, the extended depth is roughly two-thirds more than the upright depth, so a row that looks fine against the wall can block a walkway once everyone reclines. Second, the height figure tells you how tall the back is, so tall buyers should compare it across models and favour the taller backs. Third, do not simply multiply the single width. A row of three (2,540 mm) is narrower than three singles placed side by side (2,895 mm), so always use the figure for the exact configuration you want.
